KORA-LLYSIS

Taller 30 presenta: Kora-Llysis by Gilberto Esparza

Sábado 29 de Marzo 2020 – 11:00 am

Kora-Llysis is a project based on a series of devices that live in the sea establishing mutualistic relationships with coral reefs. These kinetic structures generate energy by taking advantage of marine currents. The electricity they produce, generates electrolysis, a phenomenon that allows minerals such as magnesium and calcium in seawater, to be deposited in the form of filament networks, accelerating the natural process of biomineralization of the reefs, reducing the energy expenditure of coral and stress generated by climate change.
